Today is the day. I am getting my right knee replaced at Brigham an Women’s Faulkner Hospital in Boston. I am feeling positive and ready to get this done. I had a trial run last Monday but was sent home 30 minutes before surgery.  I look forward to dancing and doing so much more once I get past the hard work of recovering. If you are reading this, I hope that you will send me positive and healing energy. It always helps to have the collective energy of those around. Thank you for following my blog!

    Hopefully the surgery is done by now and you can begin to heal. Please know I always send positive energy your way, whether you need it or not (we can all always use it)…I’m looking forward to confirmation that all went well as I’m sure it did

  7. You will be dancing in the street sooner than you think! Prayers and well wishes sent your way Susan! This piece is very soothing to me. Like a deep sigh of relief and relaxation. Ahhhhh….

  8. My prayer is that the procedure goes well and that you heal quickly, Susan. Hang in there. At least you can paint while you are recuperating!

  9. I just saw your ‘Gravatar’ on my site and came over for a visit to find you cast down. I hope all went well with your op. I’ve been thinking recently – very recently – of winding and binding (art) and of this in terms of active prayer, a bit in the way of Celtic Christianity. I just came across this prayer:

    Prayers for others

    Canticle

    Christ, as a light
    illumine and guide me.
    Christ, as a shield
    overshadow me.
    Christ under me;
    Christ over me;
    Christ beside me
    on my left and my right.
    This day be within and without me,
    lowly and meek, yet all-powerful.
    Be in the heart of each to whom I speak;
    in the mouth of each who speaks unto me.
    This day be within and without me,
    lowly and meek, yet all-powerful.
    Christ as a light;
    Christ as a shield;
    Christ beside me
    on my left and my right.

    All this undering and overing, lefting and righting is like winding and binding – the bandaging of wounds over healing balm. I wish this for you. You’re probably dancing already. The prayer above should be centred, forming a cross, but I can’t do this here. Not trying to push any kind of doctrine here, it’s just a prayer I fell over. It’s from the site of the Northumbria Community. 🙂
