WHO DESIGNED YOUR CLOTHES?, 12″x9″ Ink and Watercolor, $400 framed.

I don’t watch commercial television very often but last night I was watching a movie on Oxygen and felt assaulted by the number of commercials for spring clothing. I don’t know if there was a time that I ever remember enjoying these commercials but I was struck by the influence they must play if you are watched a lot of TV. Enough of that.

I prefer the lovely clothes these creatures are wearing.

The world needs less things and more feelings. Less clothes, more hugs, less malls, more art, less consuption, more color. Lovely and loving creatures, imagination, curiosity and playfulness. <3

  2. The wardrobe is unique, colorful and just makes me happy!!! Love this one!

T.V. is garbage but your paintings are joyful. We country folk don’t take fashion too seriously but color is important and I like nice cloth.

  4. Susan,
I love, love, love this!!! The characters are really strutting their stuff! I love the trees and the repeated patterns. The composition is wonderful and of course the whimsy is so compelling.

  5. I can’t tell if I’m just not into fashion anymore or am just getting old. I couldn’t even tell you what is “in” at the moment. Fun painting!

  6. Charming! And I love how the title adds to the whimsy. 🙂

  7. I like the fish-scale number the cat creature is wearing—quite stylish!

  8. Lots of cute critters! Some having deep conversations!

  9. Just makes me happy to look at this 🙂
