I spent a lovely overnight with another artist friend, visiting friends on Cuttyhunk Island. It was beautiful painting weather although a bit windy.
I started some larger works but this was a fun little 5 1/2 ” by 3″ watercolor of Nashawena Island from the school yard. I took the photo hours after I had made the painting. While I was painting, the sun was lighting up Nashewena Island as the clouds were blowing through.

beautiful
Is the little one Nashwena and the larger one in the back MV? Or am I thinking too far north? I love this little painting!
The larger one is Nashawena and is bigger than Cuttyhunk. The little one is unnamed.
A little realism for a change of pace – I like it…
Interesting change of style…..it looks like a lovely place to visit!
I love your watercolor of Nashawena, Susan! What a treat! And so nice to be able to visit with you again, and to meet Kelley ~ thanks for coming out to see us at the Avalon!
