A little poppy study.
In New York City today so I completed this Friday. Another little painting for Leslie Saeta‘s 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. There are over 360 artists participating and it is great fun to see everyone’s work.
I hope everyone is recovering from the bitter cold and snow that has hit so much of the country.
This is a 3 1/2 ” x 2 1/2″ Ink and Watercolor. $25
The trees are alive with a thousand creatures. And the robed dog is flying by.
Excited to be going to NYC today to see our friend Chris and his mom Susan who are having a book signing together for their respective books. Chris is a photographer and Susan Weil an artist.
This is a small 3 1/2″ by 2 1/2″ Ink and Watercolor available for $25. Hard for me to put less on the paper.
Working on this new painting. The two creatures on the right are wondering whether the cat and giraffe are a couple. What do you think?
Well it has been an incredibly busy time of year. Postcards are printed for the Exhibit at DeBlois Gallery, The Art Stable Gallery is opening this weekend (I will be posting more about that soon), and we are getting ready to go to Europe for the exhibit I am in. We went to a wonderful rock and roll wedding this past weekend and the bride and groom were one of the happiest couples I have ever seen.
I am loving painting such wild foliage and thought I might make a picture without any creatures. Not surprisingly, a few of them snuck in here.
I am happy to say this painting is much less expensive than my others. I found that fewer creatures meant fewer hours.
Monday was such a glorious day that it is hard to remember what a cool spring it has been. I love how resilient we are. The flowers have opened in abundance and our nesting sparrow is surely going to have babes soon.
This is a 6″ by 6″ Ink and Watercolor on aqua board and comes with it’s own stand so you can display it immediately. It is for sale for $125.00
If you happen to be in Warren, RI there is a very cool shop called Whimsies that is full of colorful creative and curious items. This is a great store for finding wonderful little presents.
This is Andrea the owner who has a great eye. She decorates and sells furniture that is so fun and funky.
You can also find my cards and prints there.

Another quick little painting. I guess I have Valentine’s on my mind. Another painting taken at night….hate to get those shadows in it, but the paper is all one color off white.
Who doesn’t like flowers. A little posie painting as today is a very busy day. Also could be a little Valentine. Drawing is 5″ by 7″.
Just a quickie as I have had to work all day. Lighting was not great for photographing. Wish I could have watched the inauguration.
But maybe a poppy painting tomorrow.
