Today is day 17 of  Leslie Saeta’s 30 in 30 painting challenge. I have gotten off track due to illness but hope to try some more abstracts. I have found I have a big learning curve ahead of me. I wish I could be meandering the Modern Museum as I welcome the inspiration.

Still working on my curious creature paintings and I hope to have some finished soon.

  1. I too am playing with abstract but am looking at other’s work until I understand it. I think there might even be a creature in this abstract. I love the colors!

  2. This painting is amazing, and very beautiful! Glad you are on the mend. I can’t wait to see more of your abstracts.

  3. I love this—it has so much movement…and I see the red patches as creatures, from the bottom left, a frog looking up at a bird!

  4. Is that a little orange bird peeking out of the clouds at the bottom? Well, that’s what I see. I think this is beautiful, though I don’t pretend to understand a abstracts!

  5. Ride that learning curve! You are doing some wonderful work…sorry to hear re: the illness, though…take good care of yourself…

  6. Love this Susan. Reminds me of looking at a lava flow, the rising steam as it hits the cool ocean waters and the glowing lava. Beautiful!

  7. Susan,
The luminescence in this painting is beautiful!
